The Congressional Football Game

The Congressional Football Game for Charity is a biennial event that raises money for the Capitol Police Memorial Fund, Our Military Kids, and A Advantage 4 Kids. The game pits a team of Congressional Members with former NFL players (some say ringers) against the U.S. Capitol Police flag football squad.

Since 2005, this biennial event features a gridiron showdown between Members of Congress, "The Mean Machine," vs. the U.S. Capitol Police, "The Guards," to raise funds for charities.

Nicknamed "The Longest Yard," this football game is a way for Members of Congress to thank and support the U.S. Capitol Police and their families, by raising money for the Capitol Police Memorial Fund.
